Clothing, Waterproofs, Hiking Equipment

Debenhams

Millgate, Wigan WN1 1BH, UK

Large department store located in Wigan town centre. There are two entrances, one of which is from the undercover car park. The car park is quite expensive. There are two floors to this store with escalators going to the upper floor. It sells clothes, including children's and house hold goods such as bedding. There is a cafe on the upper floor which can get very busy. It has toilets including a separate one for baby changing. Well laid out, but it does get very busy.

Long timely queue at all tills and this was at 9:45. They need to be more efficient. I had to put the items back and return 30 mins later, which they had more staff on the tills then. Clothes are excellent, but promotions aren't clear on all items that are on offer,.

Lidl Wigan

Darlington St, Wigan WN1 1DL, UK – 0800 977 7766

Well stocked shelves. Plenty of good quality foods. Fair prices too. The only downside is the shop floor was a bit crowded in the isles with stock being put out. It's happened each time I have been in so it's a case of squeezing pass the pallets and sometimes I havent been able to get pass them so that was inconvenient which is why i only gave 4 stars.Plenty of parking places with easy access to the store entrance for disabled people like myself.

This Lidl in Darlington st I've been going from day it opened an over 10 years it's attracted more an more customers . It has some real quality food an items the fruit an vegetables excellent quality for the price an having a different country an there food every few weeks like there magazine makes it interesting to try different foods from different countries . improvements needed tho there bakery items cooked then left on shelf uncovered and more tills need opening qwicker when it can get quite busy . An a massive plus for the budget is Lidl don't change there price of every item everyday like some other supermarkets do who think they can attract a different customer by the day they shop an over charge them at some ridiculous prices that we the mugs fall for . Lidl - 6/10 for me

The Range, Wigan

Chapel Lane Retail Park, Chapel Ln, Wigan WN3 4HG, UK – 01942 235838

The Range has a great variety of goods for the home and garden, many of which you struggle to find elsewhere. The Wigan branch has good car parking and is easy to access. There is a good crafts and art section in addition to the other stock, plus some lighting and furniture.

This is a good place for a wide range of goods, hence the name I suppose. Easy free parking and easy access for anyone with a wheelchair. Prices are good but some of the cheap tools you need to watch out for as the quality is not good. Can highly recommend it for most things.
